Course 8 Activity 1: Share Your Thoughts
What are the various forms of assessment that you can use with children at the foundational stage? List the types of assessment – specially think of forms of assessment other than paper-pencil test. Share your thoughts in the blog post.
Paper -pencil test is a traditional way of assess the students.We can use various forms of assessment. In fact, we have many chances, when we can assess our students. When they engage in any learning activity, they can be assess too.Their initiative,their activeness,their dullness, their ignorance may be base of assessment.
Assessment in the early stages of schooling mostly should be done informally. eg., by observation, oral, activity based etc. Although we have a set of assessment tools as well such as 1. assessment as learning 2. assessment for learning 3. assessment of learning
Assessment can be of many type according to the foundational years and interest of the students..one of the assessment can be play based... students can be engaged in a fun play and their skills like team work , cooperation ,honesty can be watched out for..
