Module 15 : Activity 6: Developing activities in progression for early numeracy
Design and share at least one activity in progression for preschool-1 (3 to 4 years old children) and preschool-2 (4 to 5 years old children) for literacy or numeracy development.
For preschool-1(3to4years old children) Story telling with the help of big posters full of lively pictures and text in large fonts. For numeracy dolls, balls,toys, balloons and so on can be used and played with the children thereby speaking number song. For preschool-2(4to5 years old children) Story telling with posters containing pictures and text. The students are asked to draw, paint, write,classify,match pictures and toys in the teachers'guidance. Both groups must be involved in dancing and singing for their physical, mental and emotional development.
When children are settled into a single activity, whether it’s sports or videogames, it can be difficult getting them to expand their horizons. However, broadening your child’s interests can help them grow up to be more well-rounded and more accustomed to change and variety. Children sometimes have a hard time dealing with new experiences, but with these tips and tricks, you’ll be able to better introduce your child to the many hobbies and activities life has to offer.
For pre school-1 ,for literacy nd numeracy development we can make collection of child friendly toys (which are easily available nd familiar) and asked them to name and count the blocks , describe pets, and common animals features viz-about how many legs have them..and so on through rhymes action and posters. For pre school-2 ,kids of 4-5 years age Make them to do activity based games, rhymes, small play.

You can arrange a magic show which involves the counting of coins.Magic involves a Pandora box which changes the no. Ofcoins at each interval and show it to children and ask them to count it in each interval.The Pandora box has a slit which holds 10 coins and delivers out randomly few different no. Of coins at a time which helps children to count in a playway method.

चित्र और संख्या वाले पोस्टर के साथ रोचक कहानी सुनाना एवं चित्र को दिखाते हुए बच्चों से पूछना कि चित्र में क्या-क्या हैं कितने हैं और क्या कर रहे हैं। इसे ध्यानपूर्वक देखिए गिनती कीजिए और अपने पसंद अनुसार उस चित्र में रंग। भरिए। जिससे बच्चों का रचनात्मक, सृजनात्मक, भावनात्मक, एवं मानसिक विकास होगा।

हम शिक्षक होने के नाते हमें प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में प्राय यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि छोटे मासूम बच्चों को कैसे पाठ से जोड़ा जाएँ । आज वर्तमान समय में वर्गवार बच्चे अपने पाठ की पढ़ाई से पीछे हो रहे हैं जिससे बच्चों में शिक्षा का स्तर खराब होते जा रहा हैं यदि हम विद्यालय के पूर्व बच्चों को अच्छा सिखाया जाए तो आगे चलकर बच्चों में शिक्षा का स्तर अच्छा होगा । पूर्व कक्षा में बच्चों को रंगीन चित्र से आकर्षित करना होगा साथ ही साथ नए नए कहानी , पोस्टर के साथ बच्चों को खेल के माध्यम से अपने और आकर्षित किया जाएँ तो बच्चों में तार्किक शक्ति सीखने की क्षमता में वृद्धि होगी।
